Facial Thread Veins
These are permanently dilated capillaries. They have very thin walls which constantly constrict and dilate. As we age, these vessels lose their elasticity and can become permanently dilated. There are numerous causes including eyeglass wear, aging, smoking, extreme sports, weather, hormones and skin fragility.

Your Questions Answered

What actually happens during the procedure?
Using the tip of a fine probe, heat is introduced to the blemish. Generally the vessels supplying it of nourishment are starved leading to its eventual demise.

Will the blemish return?
During the course of your consultation the underlying cause of the blemishes will be discussed. The treated blemish will not return, but subsequent others may occur depending upon the root cause.

How long does the treatment take and how many treatments will I require?
The treatments are safe and effective and offer  instantaneous results results in many cases. Length of treatment very much depends on the severity of the problem. During your consultation a treatment plan will be discussed, allowing you to plan for appointment times. The area being treated needs to be considered. Some areas are more reactive and the skin more sensitive. Spacing out treatment and appointment intervals will be considered when booking appointments to best meet your needs and requirements.

Where do I go from here?
Book a free consultation to discuss your problem area. At that time we will address any concerns and establish a treatment plan if you wish to go ahead. Appointments for Advanced Cosmetic Procedures are generally 15 minutes in length.

Are procedures covered by benefits?
Some benefit packages cover treatments done by a registered health care provider(massage, chiroprator, physio). If this is the case treatment should be covered.
